Lee County Child Struck By Car, Airlifted To UNC Hospitals (NBC 17 Raleigh)

The State Highway Patrol says a 10-year-old Lee County child was struck by a vehicle when he stepped into traffic on Friday. The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. close to the child's home on NC 78 about one mile west of Sanford city limits. The child's condition is unknown, but he was airlifted to UNC Hospitals.
